Turning Point's Community Centered Services might be right for you and your family if your child is experiencing any combination of the following:

 

Family Conflict Poor social skills
Erratic moods Prolonged sadness
Depression or apathy Out of control anger and aggression
Low self-esteem Lack of emotional bonding
Defiant attitude toward rules and authority Moderate to heavy substance abuse
Argumentative and oppositional Disruptive school behavior
School truancy and attendance problems Motivational difficulties
Performing below grade level

Once your child's needs are addressed and it has been decided that Turning Point will provide his or her care, an individualized treatment plan will be drawn up by our therapists in concert with your family to get your child back on the right track.

Residential Treatment Services

 

If your client is in need of 24-hour care, 7 days a week

in a home-like environment, you may be interested in our Residential Treatment Services.

Our programs serve male and female youth ages 12-21.

Our programs are gender specific and are hosted

in two separate facilities.

 

Turning Point offers an unmatched continuum of care

for high risk youth.

We will ensure your client's success upon completion

of our top-notch,

CARF accredited Residential Treatment Program.

 

Criteria for placement in Turning Point's

Residential Treatment Programs

are defined as follows:

 

Willingness/motivation to participate in the program.
Normal range of cognitive functioning.
Diagnosis capable of treatment within our program, i.e. Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Cannabis Abuse, Polysubstance Abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc.
Family is willing to participate in treatment.
Needs cannot be met in a less restrictive environment due to emotional, family, behavioral, mental health, gang, legal and substance abuse difficulties.

 

Reasons for denial of admission into

Turning Point's Residential Programs include:

 

History of sexual perpetration.
History of extreme violence, aggression, assaultive behavior.
Significant history of suicidal attempts/gestures
Clients refusing medications deemed clinically necessary.
Diagnosis unable to treat within our program, i.e. Schizophrenic Disorders, etc.
