Department: Clinical Program Reports to: Program Director
Minimum salary: $36,000
Position summary and general purpose: Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate treatment plans and services for assigned caseload as well as facilitate individual, group and family treatment sessions.
Role qualifications:
1. Masters Degree in Mental Health Discipline.
2. Licensed Professional: licensed physician, psychologist, clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, professional counselor or registered nurse.
3. Minimum of CAC III, or actively seeking certification.
4. Minimum of 3 years experience treatment oriented experience in client assessment, treatment planning, and implementation. Prefer to work experience with individuals and families, with emphasis on adolescents who are delinquent or pre-delinquent. Prefer interest in outdoor education and experiential treatment modalities.
5. Self-directed work style and ability to collaborate effectively with Program Director, agency administrators, and all personnel to meet agency objectives. Demonstrated ability to show initiative in managing job responsibilities, communication job performance ideas and concerns to supervisor, and seeking resources to maintain and build areas of expertise.
6. Demonstrated ability to serve as a representative of the agency, and thus converse professionally and knowledgeably with clients, their families, licensing, referral agents, law enforcement and the public at large.
7. Demonstrate skills in clinical supervision and basic supervision techniques.
8. Flexibility in work hours to accommodate program needs to include evening and weekend hours.
Position responsibilities:
1. Development and Implementation of Client Services:
· Between the ages of 3 and 21.
· Diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder described in the most current Diagnostic Statistical Manual.
· Treated at the level of care designated by the Colorado Client Assessment Record (CCAR) and has a current valid CCAR that supports medical necessity.
· Determined in an initial assessment, conducted by a Licensed Professional, to be capable of benefiting from the program. Additionally, will determine if the RTC is the most appropriate and least restrictive setting for the client’s individual needs.
· Responsible for assuring all other required assessments are conducted, reviewed and implemented into client’s treatment. (Ex. SASSI, RADS, Hamilton Anxiety, MMPI, etc.)
· Oversee the formulation, implementation, review and revision of the treatment/service plan.
· Reviewing client records and services every 6 months for quality, appropriateness of services, to assure that the documentation supports the treatment plan services and the licensing, contract and CARF standards.
· Providing direct feedback and supervision to staff who are working with the youth related to the clinical services and client record.
· Review and approve, as shown by signature and date, the clients’ diagnosis, mental status exam, treatment plan, monthly review that the client continues to benefit from the services, and discharge summaries.
· Document any unplanned discharges without advance notice and any discharges against the Licensed Professional’s advise.
· Responsible for assuring that all services are delivered, and if clinically contraindicated, document and review that in the client record.
· Responsibility for case management of each child on their caseload.
· Participate actively in the admission, treatment planning, discharge and aftercare planning for the child. In addition, is directly responsible for completing client discharge summaries.
· Assure appropriate information about the child and his/her background is shared with other staff and maintain communication with parents, guardians, or referring agency or the agency responsible for discharge planning and follow-up care for the child including setting monthly staffings.
· Assure that an individual child’s plan is developed and required treatment plan review and modifications are made.
· Assure that the treatment plan for each child is implemented and documented in the child’s file.

Essential functions:
1. Effectively represent the mission and purpose of Turning Point.
2. Oversee all aspects of the client’s treatment services and delivery.
3. Coordinate with the Program Director to ensure the quality of therapeutic services for the clients served in all areas of the program.
Supervisory responsibilities:
1. Direct supervision of Therapists, Counselor III, and Counselor IV
2. Supervision of Counselors as assigned.
Physical demands and work environment:
1. Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds (physical).
2. Ability to use computerized client database system for documentation and record keeping (visual).
3. Ability to communicate with clients, families, referral agents and other professionals in person, by telephone and by email (verbal, visual, hearing).
4. Ability to climb stairs to access clients at all times in the building (physical).
5. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in order to transport clients (physical).
