Agency History Founded as LARICO in 1967 by a group of social service administrators, mental health staff and community leaders with the help of a Larimer County Assistant DA, Turning Point began as a temporary housing facility, counseling and guidance center for Larimer County juveniles. Throughout the past 40 years, Turning Point has grown from a shelter and emergency care facility into one of the largest non profits in our area. Operating out of locations in both Fort Collins and Greeley, Turning Point has the capacity to serve approximately 120 youth and their families per day. A not-for-profit 501(c)3 agency, Turning Point Center for Youth & Family Development, Inc. works with youth and their families in Northern Colorado, Southern Wyoming and communities along the Front Range.
